We talked to Ranger Chris and we are a go for our Island Workday Saturday. Chris' boat is in the shop so we will be using one from Honeymoon Island and leaving from Honeymoon Island dock. Meet there at 8:00 AM. Please give us notice regarding your participation Saturday so we will know how many to plan for. Click on the registration form above.
Come join us as we help the Ranger on our beautiful island. It is a work day - but we have a lot of fun while we are out there.
Jobs to include, but not limited to:
Island cleanup in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
Fencing which will allow public tours of tower.
Wear closed toed shoes and hat, bring work gloves, bug spray, sun screen, your lunch & snacks including water or soft drinks.
Meeting time for boat ride is out 8:00 AM at the dock in Honeymoon Island State Park. Tell the gate you are a volunteer and ask for directions if you are unfamiliar with the dock area. If you take your own watercraft, we suggest you arrive on the island around 9:00 AM.
